  • 05/29/10 Transfer, tenatively, COMPLETE

If you are reading this at the url http://studiomunchausen.freehostia.com, then it's time for me to tell you that it is time for you to consider changing your bookmarks. for the past couple days, we've been hard at work, between class and job work anyway, at moving and debugging the old code to transfer the server from our old host to our new one.

With the transfer, we do have more good news. WE HAVE A DOMAIN NAME NOW!!!!

Update your bookmarks, favorites, or anything else with our new domain:

    http://www.studiomunchausen.co.cc

As far as the old site, it'll be kept online for a while longer, but ultimately, it will be phased out completely. This post will actually be (barring trouble at the new host) the last post on the freehostia host.

  • 05/19/10 Still Alive

We're still around and kicking. Just have been busy on more fronts then we'd rather admit at the moment. Below the cut is the in depth general status of things, but here is the short of it. We are still active, we've upgraded to Unity3D and are working on integrating it, we're still learing the code for it, we've got a few artists and coders, we'll have some forums soon, and possibly a new webhost and home url sool.

  • 11/05/09 The Wyspearir of the Curtaien Spaeks

If thou shalt tarry, I've become privy to wit that you may wish to hear. Hither is a bit of parchment that I've come owner of.

"There is a new dawn on the horizon. One we shall capitalize on and persue. Our ship has been repaired, our holds full of new supplies, and our sails eagerly flapping in the morning breeze. We shall set forth forsooth now with our new crews to two isles that we have seen upon our maps. The first shall be revisited and explored in all dimentions instead of just seen from the Lord's view while the second has yet to be seen by man and is said to be of the goddly realm.

We shall set forth with our new ship and visit these lands while our original ship be drydocked with repairs. She may have been poorly made within her origial dock, small repairs should make her like new again."

I have yet to dysipher what this saeys, but I know that I wilt be the news baerer from here.

  • 09/04/09 We're Still Alive

Yep, we are still here. After making our first game, we took some time off while classes started up and various real life issues popped up. Either way, we are still alive and still here.

We are still looking around for a good, free place to host the patch, but so far nothing has proven itself to be a good alternative due to file size restrictions, file hosting limits, and various other issues.

In other news, we're starting to get the team back together and up to speed on game making and upgrading. At the moment, we're overhauling FotA to see if we can fix the many, many issues that have have popped up with it as well as streamlining the codebase to see if we can make it run better.

I guess this is kinda what we get for rushing to get a game done in time for a convention and skimping out one of the most important parts of the process, the error and bug checking part.

Either way, we are also trying to get some of the team back together for another reason as well, but that news will have to wait for another day since we really don't know what we want to do just yet.

The game did not sell well at all durring YasumiCon, but was liked by quite a few people including the founder and publisher of Destructoid, a game news publishing site.

    Bad News

We seem to have hit a snag with our webhost and the file, though it is linked properly, will not download. For now, untill we get this issue resolved, email us at "studiomunchausen@gmail.com" with the subject "Upgrade" and we will email you a copy of the patch in a zip file.

We are sorry about this inconvenience, but we hope to have this solved soon.
